Beagle and Pug Mix

Beagle and Pug Mix dog are usually 13-15 inches tall and weighs 15-30 pounds. Their coat is smooth with short hair. They have lots of wrinkle on forehead, and have a muzzle that just looks like a smaller edition of a pug’s muzzle. Beagle and Pug Mix dog have a bit longer nose, however not longer than beagle’s nose. Beagle and Pug Mix have strong body, curled tail, short legs, and floppy ears. They are usually found in various colors such as fawn, black, tan, tri-color and white. Beagle and Pug Mix can live up to 13-17 years. As they grow, becomes more familiar with the surroundings.

History: It is believed that Beagle and Pug Mix is an outcome of a cross between the beagle and the pug. They are well known as Puggles. Beagle and Pug Mix are the so-called designer dogs, since they have the characteristics of both the Pug and Beagles.

Temperament: Beagle and Pug Mix are quite easy to train, since they are obedient, attentive and quick learners, however some can be slow learners due to their curious and playfulness nature. They are generous, loving, intelligent, social, and friendly. Beagle and Pug Mix loves to play with children and behaves okay with them. Beagle and Pug Mix also have the capability of Beagles’ hunting. They rarely make loud noise, but certainly they like to chew. They behave normal with other pets.

Health and Exercise: Beagle and Pug Mix usually don’t suffer from allergies and the sicknesses that pugs inherit. But if a Beagle and Pug Mix have acquired the beagle’s mannerism of long running then it may raise a problem for them, as their nasal holes are not developed much efficient as the beagle dogs. They need lot of exercise in comparison with the Pugs, due to their physical strength.

Grooming: Brush them twice a week. This breed is not tough to maintain. Beagle and Pug Mix often require a nail clipping and bath.

Requirements for new a puppy: Beagle and Pug Mix require toys to chew and need a strap. They are proved as good home pet, also likes to play with socks of their owner even likes ball, fetch and chase let them play those games which they loves like hide and seek. Beagle and Pug Mix are fond of playing.
